GUN CLUB
MEETING AT WAINGAWA COMPETITION RESULTS. C. E. GREY IN GOOD FORM. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a poor attendance at the Wairarapa Gun Club’s competitions held on. the club’s grounds Norfolk Road, Waingawa, on Saturday. Weather conditions were excellent, the, shooting of C. E. Grey being outstanding. The results were as follow: — J. Laurenson Trophy Match, 20 birds: C. E. Grey, 18; F. E. Allen, 17; T. A. Brown, 16; J. W. McKenzie, 15; J. Udy, 14; L. Rayner, 13; J. Crawford, 12. Five-bird Sweepstake: C. E. Grey, 5; F. E. Allen, T. A. Brown, and L. Rayner, 4 each; J. Udy, J. Crawford, and J. W. McKenzie, 3 each. Ten-bird Sweepstake: C. E. Grey, 8; L. Rayner, 8; J. Crawford, 6; J. S. Morrison, 6; F. E. Allen, 5. Five-bird Gimcrack: C. E. Grey, L. Rayner and J. Crawford, each broke the 5 birds; C. E. Grey winning the shoot off on the ninth bird. Double Rise, 5 pairs; C. E. Grey and L. Rayner tied with seven breaks each.
