Miss Haze] Bergh, Martinborough, spent the weekend in Masterton. Mrs J. Ross, Auckland (and former ly of Masterton) is spending a holiday in Masterton.
Miss Pearl Berry, formerly of Trentharn, has commenced duty at the Pongaroa Post Office. Mr and Mrs H. Miller, of Auckland, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Hoar, Cambridge Terrace, Masterton. Mr and Mrs G. Morgan, who have been spending a holiday in Masterton, returned, to Wellington today. Mrs E. S. Berry, of Pongaroa, has received a cable from her son, Driver L. Berry, stating that he is in good health and spirits. Mrs'F. J. Staniforth and Miss I. Staniforth, High Street, Masterton, left this morning on a holiday which is to be spent at Christchurch. A foundation member, Mrs L. H. Angus, was guest of honour recently at an "afternoon party, on the occasion of her retirement from many years’ service with the Red Cross Society’s cafeteria at the Wellington Hospital. Mrs Angus was presented with a gift in appreciation from fellow workers.
