EVERY SHIP HIT

AIR ATTACK ON ENEMY CONVOY IM CENTRAL MEDITERRANEAN. BOMBS & TORPEDOES GET HOME. LONDON, October 12. In a seven-hour attack on an enemy convoy in the Central Mediterranean by bomb and aerial torpedo, not a single enemy ship got through unscathed. Two mediumsized ships were severely damaged and brought to a standstill and three others were hit and damaged. In a further attack an 'enemy vessel was set on fire and later again a large merchant vessel received two direct hits. The convoy was escorted by five destroyers and aircraft.

The artillery of our Baltic navy destroyed two long-range guns, of different calibre, and three mortal’ batteries.”
