Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington markets are quoted as follow: — Passion fruit: 10s to 26s 6d a half case. Grapefruit. N.Z., 10s to 19s 6d a bushel case. Oranges, N.Z., 21s to 42s a bushel case. Lemons, Meyer, 14s 6d to 23s 6d a half case. Tree tomatoes, 6s to 16s 6d a half case. Mandarins, 10s 3d to 29s 6d a half case. Tomatoes: Hothouse. 2s 7d to 3s lid a lb. Cucumbers, 8s to 18s a dozen. Green peas, lOd to Is 3d a lb. Asparagus, Is to Is lOd a bunch. Pumpkins, triumble 30s to 43s a sack, greys 20s to 325. Potatoes, 10s to 16s 6d a cwt; ditto, new, 33d to 5d a lb. Onions, 14s to 25s a cental bag. Kumeras, 8s to 13s a sugar bag. Cauliflowers: 8s to 21s a sack. Lettuce, 3s to 12s 6d a case. Cabbage, spring, 8s to 14s 9d a case. Spinach, 7s to 17s 6d a case. Silver beet, 6s to Ils a case. Leeks, 14s to 18s a case. Parsnips: 9s to 14s ,6d a case. Swedes, 5s to Bs® a case. Beetroot, 7s to 13s a case. Celery, Auckland, choice, 14s 9d to 29s a case. Carrots, 8s to Ils 6d a .pase. Rhubarb, 6s to 14s a dozen bunches.
