BOWLING

MASTERTON PARK CLUB SEASON TO BE OPENED ON SATURDAY. GREENS IN GOOD ORDER. Arrangements for the official opening of the greens for the season at 2 p.m. next Saturday are well in hand. Excellent work has been done by members of the committee, and the playing surface should be in first class order. Bowlers from various parts of the Wairarapa, including several from Eketahuna; have signified their intention of being present. Given fine weather, the green should present a very gay scene, equalling that of last year, when a record was established. The Wairarapa Bowling Centre will be represented by an official four, comprising the president, vice-president, secretary and auditor.
