CHROME FROM TURKEY
GERMANY TO GET SUPPLIES AFTER 1943. WHEN AGREEMENT WITH BRITAIN EXPIRES. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) ANKARA, October 8. On the eve of the signing of the Turkish-German trade agreement, Turkey is reported to have agreed to sell chrome to Germany after January, 1943, when her chrome agreement with Britain expires. The German-controlled Paris radio stated that Britain and Russia h’ave jointly presented a Note to Turkey concerning the activities of an alleged German “fifth column” in Turkey.
