OBITUARY
MRS MARGARET MEAD. The death occurred at Greytown this morning of Mrs Margaret Mead. The late Mrs Mead whs 79 years of age and was born at Greytown, being a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. Morris. She resided at Papawai till about 17 years ago, when she took up her residence in Greytown.
The late Mrs Mead, who had suffered ill health for some considerable time, possessed a kindly disposition. She had borne her suffering with great fortitude. She is survived by four sons, Messrs Harold (Auckland), Charles (Lower Hutt), Albert (Khandallah) and Len Mead (overseas with .the forces), , and by three daughters, Mesdames J. Langley (Greytown), Beuck (Hawke’s Bay) and W. Kilgour (Greytown), besides a brother, Mr H. Morris (Eketahuna) and a sister, Miss A. Morris '(Palmerston North). Her husband predeceased her some years ago. Personal. The Rev H, Bloomfield is at present indisposed. Raffle of Cake. A cake donated by Mrs J. Parker for the Presbyterian Shop Day was won by Mrs A. N. Johnson, No. G 4.
