WORKERS’ MUTUAL BENEFIT. BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. The twenty-seventh annual meeting of the No. 2 Workers’ Mutual Benefit Society was held last evening. Mr R. Krahagen, chairman, presided over a fair attendance of shareholders. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, stressed the fact that in spite of the prevailing conditions the society had been able to make progress during the year and advances of £3920 in the No. 2 Society and £4llO in the B Group had been made. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The retiring directors, Messrs R. Krahagen, A. L. Bennett and A. J. H. Briden were re-elected and Mr R. Page was declared elected as a director in the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr A. H. Eddy. Mr G. W. Sellar was re-elected as shareholders’ auditor.
