Despite savage punishment meted out to unsatisfactory workmen at the “Umschulungslager” (retaining centre) which is now a part of the equipment of any typical large war factory, sabotage among German workers grows. Since the latest Nazi invasion it will grow even faster. So many sabotage explosions have taken place in Austrian arms factories that Himmler has made mass transfers of Austrian workers to German and Czech Works, and vice versa. Thus he hopes to deprive the saboteurs of civilian help.
