Defence problems covering the whole Pacific area were discussed at the weekend conference between British and American service chiefs. Particular attention was paid to the united defence strategy of Britain and the United States regarding Hong Kong, Malaya, Borneo, Burma, the Netherlands East Indies, Australia and New Zealand. The problem of getting British and American Supplies to China over the Burma Road was also fully discussed. The chief participants in the talks were Sir R. Brooke-Popham and Generals MacArthur and Magruder.
