WOMEN DETECTIVES

ATTACHED TO SCOTLAND YARD. SPECIAL BRANCH WORK. Five women detectives have been appointed to the Special Branch of Scotland Yard, which deals with political and international investigations. Two of the five women already have won recognition for their brilliant work in trailing Irish Republican Army terrorists and tracing and arresting enemy aliens. Strangely enough, they succeeded in investigations among aliens when expert Scotland Yard detectives failed. It was found that women aliens would talk to other women, but not to men.

All have had great experience in following up delicate and intricate inquiries, while some have worked for a time with the flying squad in rounding up gangs of thieves.
