EXPORT MEAT

PROPOSALS BY GOVERNMENT. MEETING NEXT WEEK. The proposals of the Government in regard to the purchase of export meat for the 1941-42 season are under consideration by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. The board has had some discussions with the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) on the matter and has now aranged to call together the delegates constituting the Electoral Committee. This meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9, and it is hoped that a position will then be reached which will result in the arrangements for the new season being soon finalised.
