GOOSEBERRY MILDEW

AN EFFECTIVE ANTIDOTE. A matter for present consideration is gooseberry mildew, both the ordinary mildew and the American gooseberry mildew, which attacks the fruits as well as the leaves, covering them with a thick grey felt. Lime sulphur is one ci' the most effective antidotes when applied at the normal winter strength. The best time to spray is just before the blossoms open.
