The New Zealanders Serenata and Foxsen were unplaced in the Red Cross Cup, Duvach was unplaced in the A.I.F. Quality Handicap, and Sir Arayas was unplaced in the Diggers' Highweight Handicap. The City Tattersails Stakes of £lOOO, one mile and a quarter, resulted: Beau .Vite, 9.4 (Munro), 1; Lucrative. 9.0 (McCarten), 2: Yaralla, 7.9 (Cook), 3. Six started. One length; two and a half. Time, 2.5.1.
