AMERICAN LEGION
RESOLUTIONS PRESENTED TO PRESIDENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, September 26. Mr Lynn Stambaugh, the newlyelected Commander of the American Legion, called at the White House today and formally presented the supporting resolutions adopted by the National Convention of the legion. President Roosevelt said he was very much heartened and encouraged by the American Legion’s support and expressed his thanks for it to Mr Stambaugh.
At its national convention the American Legion (ex-service men) unanimously approved a resolution favouring the release of the Army and Navy from geographical limitations, so that the armed forces could be carried to the enemy's front lines.
