ALLIED WARSHIPS
UNDER REPAIR IN U.S.A. PORTS. INCLUDING BIG FRENCH SUBMARINE. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, September 26. , The. Navy Department announced today the names of three additional British and French warships in United States ports, undergoing repairs. These are the submarine Parthian, the destroyer Burnham and the Free French submarine Surcouf. The lastnamed is the heaviest submarine afloat, displacing 2,880 tons and equipped to carry a small seaplane.
