INTERHOUSE GIRLS

ANNUAL DISPLAY PLAN APPROVED OF. BY MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Wairarapa Interhouse Association Committee was held in the Y.M.C.A. when Mr Daubney was re-elected chairman for the ensuing year. Arrangements were finalised for the parents’ night to be held on Wednesday next in the Y.M.C.A. This gathering is open to all interhouse girls and their parents. The secretary was thanked for his reports on the Wellington-Masterton ladies’ basketball match played in Wellington. Mr Daubney reported that the concert held to assist the Sister Phylis Matthew’s Fund had been most satisfactory. The treasurer was, instructed to enclose an audited balance sheet, when the proceeds are paid into the fund. A special vote of thanks was extended to Mr Daubney for the work he had done in connection with the concert. After a general discussion it was decided that the girls’ marching teams be the same in number as last year —eight members and a leader. The plan for the display this year was approved and the secretary was instructed to prepare the same, together with the commands, so that they may be issued to the team coaches after the next meeting. Team entries will close on Tuesday, October 7. Accounts amounting to £29 13s lOd were passed for payment.
