OTAKI IN FLOOD
MAN WASHED DOWN RIVER IN DRAY. DIFFICULTY IN REACHING BANK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OTAKI, September 26. Heavy rain caused floods in the Otaki River, where a stopbank was damaged. Water flowed across the road and inundated -acres of land, while a horse, dry and driver were washed down a stream. The driver, with difficulty, reached the bank.
