COLLEGE RUGBY
RECORD FOR SEASON SPLENDID RESULTS. BOARD EXPRESSES CONGRATULA TIONS TO COACHES. At last night’s meeting of the Wairarapa College Board of Governors, the Principal, Mr G. G. Flancox, reported that the First Rugby Fifteen had won the third grade competition and the Second Fifteen the fourth grade competition in the Wairarapa Rugby Union’s competition. In the 12 matches played by the Second Fifteen, the team won every game, scoring 14G points for and having 22 points scored against it. In its two inter-collegiate games the team beat the Palmerston North Technical High School First VX. by 21 points to 3 and lost to Hutt Valley by 8 points to nil. Members of the board expressed great pleasure at the splendid results, although the view was expressed that so long as bright, hard, clean Rugby was played it did not matter who won the games. It was decided to convey the board’s congratulations to the coaches, Messrs J. E. Tier (First) and H. P. Glen (Second Fifteen).
