AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION
$ BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. ALTERATION TO RULES. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual, meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association, which was held in Featherston last night, was well attended. The president, Mr H. Lawson, presided. Mr Lawson referred with satisfaction to the year’s activities, which had been carried on much the same as usual, in spite of the difficult times. He also paid a tribute to the work of the staff, notably that of the secretary, Mr N. C. C. Shepherd, and of the patrols. Officers were elected as follow: — President, Mr H. Lawson; vice-presi-dents, Messrs R. W. Roydhouse and H. J. Jones; committee, Featherston, Messrs C. J. Nix, J. W. Card, T. E Lang, R. Donald; Greytown, Messrs F. C. Bunny, F. J. Nicholls; Carterton, Messrs Gordon Hughan, H. E. Jackson, W. F. Hill; Masterton, Messrs J. C. Board, D. B. Carrick, S. E. Taylor; Martinborough, Mr R. W. McLaren; representative on Wairarapa Mutual Insurance Co., Mr R. W. Roydhouse; auditor, Mr C. W. Ritchie. In accordance with notice of motion, the rules were altered to provide for the nomination of officers fourteen days prior to the annual meeting.
