AT BRITISH BY-ELECTION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) RUGBY, September 25. The Scarborough by-election resulted: — Spearman (Conservative) 12,518 Hippie (Independent Democrat) 8,086 The vacancy was caused by the resignation of Sir Paul Latham. Only 36 per cent of the electors voted.
