AIR FORCE RELATIONS

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. THANKS FOR GIFTS AND HELP. ’ At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee the following members were present: Mesdames S. J. Gill (in the chair), J. A. Betts, L. Gray, A. Harcombe, G. W. Sellar, H. J. W. Lord. An apology for absence was received from Mrs Nathan. During the month a parcel of knitted comforts was forwarded through the Masterton Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society to a Wairarapa airman, who is a prisoner of war in Germany. It was reported that the supply of tinned foods had been well maintained. The committee packed 209 tins suitable for sending overseas. Eighteen pullovers, 9 pairs of mittens, 7 balaclavas—with holes at the ears for telephones—and 2 pairs black socks were also packed. Parcels of comforts, knitted garments or tinned foods may be sent to any member of the committee, or left at the offices of Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Page's Buildings, Perry Street, Masterton. They will be packed and forwarded to Wellington on the 20th of each month.
