STATE THEATRE
“ALGIERS.” The change of programme at the State Theatre tonight will be headed by that thrilling and outstanding picture, “Algiers.” It portrays one of the most sinister and intriguing chapters in the vivid history of crime. It is a vivid and absorbing drama placed in an unforgettably exciting setting. The acting is superb, and in the many difficult roles are to be seen actors and actresses who provide some of the most brilliant acting ever brought to the screen. There is not a dull moment in the picture and it provides a story which patrons will Jong remember. The scenery, too, is excellent in every respect. Charles Boyer gives an outstanding portrayal in the leading character, and the role is numbered among the best he has been seen in. Sigrid Gurie and Hedy Lamarr are also seen in brilliant presentations. The supporting programme contains many items of exceptional interest.
