GENERAL BAN

ON GUY FAW KE’S DAY. IN AREAS OF LIGHTING RESTRICTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. There is to be no Guy Fawke’s Day this year in any area where lighting restrictions are in force, not, at any rate, so far as the hours after daylight are concerned. A general direction has been sent to al! district controllers, by Mr F. T. M. Kissel, that bonfires and fireworks at night are to be banned, as they would be in conflict with the lighting restriction regulations.
