DEFENCE OF DAKAR
STATEMENT BY FRENCH COMMISSIONER. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) VICHY, September 22. “As last year, so today and tomorrow I shall defend Dakar against thosewho attack it, whoever they may be,” said M. Goisson, High Commissioner for French West Africa, in a speech in Vichy, rfb added: “The means have been given me to do this and the defence has been entrusted to Frenchmen alone.”
