PRISONS HELPING
IN -BRITISH WAR EFFORT. SUBSTANTIAL PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, September 21. The “Daily Telegraph” says convicts and also prisoners in local prisons, during the past year have produced over £500,000 worth of war materials. The whole of prison industry has been switched to the war effort.
