R.A.F. attack's bn Axis petrol dumps in the Western Desert are believed to be responsible for the forced landing of a number of Italian-mannfed Stukas on the Libyan frontier during the past few days. The Associated Press of Great Britain’s correspondent reports that a squadron of Junkers 87s intending to raid Sidi Barrani, were forced to land in the desert on the Egyptian side of the border. Sixteen Italian members of the crews were captured and. admitted that the planes’ petrol tanks were only half filled, so “no benzine, no flying.”
