ABORTIVE ATTACKS
MADE ON BRITISH CONVOYS IN NORTH SEA.
NAZI E-BOATS SEVERELY DAMAGED.
(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, September 21.
An Admiralty communique states: “Unsuccessful attacks on North Sea convoys were made last night by enemy E-boats, two of which were severely damaged when engaged and driven off by our naval escorts. Low visibility prevented knowledge of certainty of destruction. There were no casualties or damage in any of our ships.”
