NAZI REPORT OF CAPTURE ■ OF KIEV. SUCCESSES OF RUSSIAN GUERILLAS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) RUGBY, September 21. The continued reference, in Russian communiques, to fighting before Kiev is an interesting commentary on the German claims announced on Friday, with the accompaniment of trumpets. It would appear that, as has happened before in Nazi history, celebration of a triumph is at least premature. The continued success of the steadily- growing partisan warfare behind the German lines in White Russia is referred to in a Soviet supplementary communique, which states: “During the first part of September, partisans killed 650 enemy officers and soldiers, destroyed twelve road bridges, two railway bridges, 23 tanks, 224 motorcars, damaged six guns, 54 motorcycles and set fire to two large stores. The torpedoeing and sinking of an enemy supply ship of nearly 6,000 tons is also reported.”
