PRIMARY SCHOOLS ANNUAL HOURNAMENT. GRADE WINNERS. The Primary Schools’ annual basketball tournament was held under ideal weather conditions at the Wairarapa College grounds on Saturday. All matches were keenly contested. The results are as follow: A Grade. First round: St. Patrick’s beat Central 11.3; West beat Lansdowne 14.3. Final: St. Patrick’s beat West 12-10. B Grade. First round: Central beat West 11. 9.4; Solway beat West 1 5-4; Whatman 1 beat Carterton Convent 9-0; St. Bride’s beat Whatman 11. 10-2. Second round: Solway beat Central 5-3; Whatman beat St. Bride’s 5-4. Final: Whatman beat Solway 17-2. C Grade. First round: Central beat Lansdowne 14-3; St. Patrick’s 1 beat West 12-3; St. Bride’s beat Solway 5-1; To Ore Crc- beat St. Patrick's 11. 2-1. Second round: St. Patrick's 1 beat Central 6-1; St. Bride’s beat Te Ore Ore 4-1. Final; St. Patrick's beat St. Bride’s 5-2.
