LEAGUE OF MOTHERS ADDRESS BY ARCHDEACON E. J. RICH. ("Times-Age” Special.) Mrs Arch. Clark presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the League of Mothers. The speaker, the Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich, gave an inspiring address touching on the things that really mattered in life in the present troubled times, things of value. Of greatest value of all was human responsibility. He stressed that it was the duty of all to express themselves in some responsibility of social service. The hostesses were Mesdamcs Ruane and Kelly. The singing of the National Ar(,them brought the meeting to a close. United Service. The monthly citizens’ wartime united service is to be held in the Anzac Hall tomoi-row evening, when the Rev J. R. Higgs will speak on the “V” sign. The combined choirs will be present. First Aid Class. Mr Herbert Clark gave an interesting talk on the uses of elasto plaste and demonstrated roller bandaging to the First Aid class on Thursday night. Personal. Mi’ J. W. Card left for Palmerston North yesterday, where he will compete in the annual legal golf tournament.
