Y.M.C.A.

FATHER AND SON BANQUET. Tomorrow evening, at the Y.M.C.A., there will be held the annual Father and Son Banquet, commencing at 5.30 o’clock. There are many residents in Masterton who can look back to happy times spent at such gatherings of the Association, and this year there will be fathers who will bring along their sons to take part in a function which they attended years ago with their fathers. The proceedings are always of a very bright and cheery nature. The Ladies’ Auxiliary will ably assist at the banquet. Apart from the usual toasts sponsored by the boys themselves, an entertaining programme will be provided, including an address by Mr Geo. Briggs, a N.Z. Y.M.C.A. secretary, who recently returned from service with the Forces in England and Egypt.
