WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT TE ORE ORE. AN INTERESTING ADDRESS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Te Ore Ore Women’s Institute Mrs G. McRae presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. Haeata, M. Haeata, Brunton and Makaera. Mesdames McDonald and Te Tau were elected delegates to the halfyearly council meeting. An interesting and instructive address was given by Nurse Craig on Heme Nursing, bed making being the chief topic of her talk. Members brought contributions . for the monthly parcel for local soldiers. Mrs Te Tau was in charge of the musical game which was won by Miss T. Haeata. Supper was served by the hostesses Mrs Nini and Miss Jacques. The roll call. “A spring cleaning hint” brought forth some very useful and amusing replies. The results of the monthly competitions were as follow; —Best bloom, Mrs G. Mcßae 1, Mrs J. McDonald 2, Mrs Te Tau 3. Something new from something old, Mrs G. Mcßae 1, Mrs McLachlan 2.
