STOCK MARKET
SALE AT FEILDING A VERY STRONG TONE. ALL LINES ADVANCE IN PRICE. (By Telegraph—Pi’ess Association.) FEILDING, September 12. There was a very strong tone in the market at the Feilding sale today, all lines selling at advanced prices. Top quality ewe hoggets with heavy skins made from 33s 6d to 35s 4d, and second grade to 265. Best wether hoggets were also sought at up to 27s 4d for top grades, and from 22s to 24s for seconds. Station cattle enjoyed a strong sale with an inquiry from outside buyers. Forward three to four-year bullocks sold from £8 Is to £8 15s, and two to three-year sorts in good order from £7 5s to £7 14s. Yearling steers changed hands at £4 16s, and two-year A.A. heifers at £5 11s. Run cows in empty condition sold at £5 9s to £6 10s. Dairy stock advanced considerably in price, first grade Jersey cows nearing profit making to £l4 ss, and heifers to £l2 15s. There was a good, clearance of a large entry.
