CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
EMPLOYMENT AS TEACHERS. HIGH SCHOOL BOARD PASSES RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OAMARU, This Day. The Waitaki High School Board passed a resolution recommending to the Minister of Education that no person refusing to take part in the defence of the Empire should be employed as a teacher in any public school and that education, secondary and technical school boards be empowered to dismiss teachers refusing to comply with the defence regulations or who claim exemption on the ground of conscientious objection.
