AIR FLEET & ARMY MEETING DIFFICULTIES PREPARATIONS FOR WINTER CAMPAIGN. RUSSIAN REPLY TO NAZI PROPAGANDA. LONDON, September 10. The Italian Press is assiduously preparing the population for an “unavoidable winter campaign” in Russia. An Italian war correspondent remarks that the air fleet as well as the army is meeting with "difficulties.” The Moscow radio, after giving the latest successes of the Red Air Force, says: “The facts have not supported the German boast to have destroyed the Soviet air force. The German propagandists have now annihilated the entire Soviet Navy, but even the Nazis must be wondering who is sinking the German and Finnish transports and U-boats in the Baltic.”
