FIRE IN CHRISTCHURCH

GOOD WORK BY BRIGADE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Damage, assessed at more than £2OOO, was done by an outbreak of fire at about 1.45 o’clock this morning at the Pro-Vita Mills, where cereal products are made. The fire broke out in the drying rooms, occupying the central portion of the building. Although the firemen suffered from the effects of fumes from the protein products in the burning drying rooms, they were able to confine the outbreak to the central block.
