RECRUITING OF WOMEN
SERVICE IN AIR FORCE AUXILIARY. OTTAWA. August 29. An initial grodp of 150 women are now being recruited for the new Canadian Women’s Auxiliary Air Force. They will be given training in Air Force matters as well as in trades which they will practise. Some 2,000 are to be enlisted during the next six months and successful applicants will serve at the Royal Canadian Air Force stations scattered across Canada, releasing skilled airmen for service elsewhere.
