WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT TINU!. FEDERATION DELEGATES APPOINTED. (“Times-Age" Special.) A. meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held on Thursday afternoon. Mrs Speedy presided over a large attendance of members. Mrs J. Mac Alister and Miss S. Alack were appointed delegates to attend the meeting of the Bush Federation at Carterton. Miss Cocks-Johnson gave a most interesting talk on vegetable growing which was greatly appreciated. The competitions resulted as follows: Shortbread, Mrs Street 1, Mrs Bennett 2, Mrs Sewell 3. Best bloom, Miss S Atack 1, Mrs Street 2 and 3. Knitted socks, Mrs Johnston 1. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Voss, Mrs O’Hara and Miss C. O’Hara.
