MOLE DRAINAGE

DEMONSTRATION' NEXT TUESDAY. “I have now been advised," states Mr N. .Lamont, of the Department of Agriculture today, “that Mr C. J. Hamblyn and Mr A. W. Hudson will be present at my mole drainage demonstration. on Mr Thomson's property at Westmere next Tuesday afternoon.” Mr Hamblyn, who is Fields Superintendent of the Department at Palmerston North, was among the first to recognise and give publicity to the methods evolved by Mr McLeod of Colyton, who is the originator of the McLeod system. Mr Hudson, of Massey College, is well known to all for his thorough investigational work into many of the finer points of mole drainage. The presence of these two authorities plus the demonstration of Mr O. L. Sykes’s ingenious patent, will assure a most interesting and instruction afternoon to all who can be present.
