GENEROUS GESTURE

INTERHOUSE ASSOCIATION’S DECISION. MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA TO BE PRODUCED. A musical extravaganza entitled “Once Aboard The Lugger,” to be presented by the Wairarapa Interhouse Association in Masterton on September 20 and September 22 is in the course of production. Mrs E. J. Rich is the producer and Mrs Miller Hope is musical director. In view of the many excellent shows which have been produced by Mrs Rich in addition to the array of talent in Masterton it is anticipated that the function will reach a high standard in entertainment. A. generous gesture of the part of the Association is the decision it has made to allocate the proceeds of the second night’s production to the local nurses fund fpr assisting Nurse Matthews. It will be remembered that Nurse Matthews was severely injured when the Rangitane was attacked while in a convoy. A Dominion-wide effort is being made to provide assistance to the nurse.
