CHURCH OF EPIPHANY

BAZAAR ACTIVITIES GUILD AND KNITTING CIRCLE. WORK OF CRIPPLED CHILDREN SOCIETY. The Church of Epiphany (Kuripuni) Ladies’ Guild and the Knitting Circle spent a pleasant time at the Sedgley Home yesterday afternoon. Garments were handed in for the church bazaar and material was handed out for the purpose of making up more. Mrs S. L. P. Free gave a talk _ on the work of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society, and outlined the proceedings at the recent Dominion Conference in Wellington. She stated that books for the children were urgently needed. The president of the Guild, Mrs Whitton, expressed thanks to Mrs Free for her address. Votes of thanks were accorded Mrs Hibbs and her staff and Mesdames Anderson, C. Jackson, and W. Henson for providing afternoon tea. The next meeting will be held on September 18.
