FIVE O’CLOCK PARTY
NURSES ENTERTAINED ENJOYABLE GATHERING AT LANSDOWNE. MRS T. JORDAN AS HOSTESS. The Mayoress of Masterton. Mrs T. Jordan, was hostess at an enjoyable social gathering held at her residence. The Terrace, Lansdowne, yesterday when the Masterton Women’s Patriotic committee entertained Nurses P. Hepworth and J. Bunny at a five o'clock party." The nurses, who were stationed in Suva for some months, will later leave for Egypt. Bowls of gay spring flowers added to the cheerful atmosphere. In a brief, but appropriate speech, Mrs Jordan proposed the health of the guests of honour, which was responded to with enthusiasm. Mrs F- R- Garland, on behalf of the. Red Cross Society, also wished the nurses a safe trip and assured them of the full support of her organisation.
