EKETAHUNA
FIRE BRIGADE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Volunteer Fire Brigade was held last night, Superintendent H. E. Rogers presiding over a good attendance of active and auxiliary members. Accounts amounting to Ils were passed for payment. A clearance was granted to an exmember who wished to join the Woodville brigade. The balance sheet in connection with the recent ball showed a credit balance of £34. This result was considered most satisfactory, and a vote of appreciation was passed to all who had helped to make the function a success. A committee consisting of the executive officers was appointed to make ( arrangements for the Gold Star pre-j sentation to Secretary S. Daniel in November. Fireman C. Hausmann was appointed secretary Jo the committee. The controller of the Auxiliary Fire Service advised that uniforms for the auxiliary members would be forwarded as soon as stocks became available. Personal Items. Mrs W. J. Henderson (Woodville), who has been the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs S. J. O’Regan, has returned home. Mrs R. Dickson, High Street, is visiting Auckland.
