The Standards Bill, a measure that . was introduced late last year, is likely to reappear in the House of Representatives this week, according to the Acting-Prime Minister, Mr Nash. He said last night that he was not sure [ whether the War Damages Bill would ' come down this week, and the Social ! Security Medical Benefits Bill was still | under consideration with representa-| tives of the New Zealand division of • the British Medical Association. When the House meets today, con-) sideration of Ministers’ written re-j plies to questions is likely to be followed by the second reading debafe on the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Bill. The second reading of this measure, together with the Emergency Regulations Amendment Bill, is likely to occupy the House till tomorrow night, and there will be further consideration of Estimates on Friday. It is possible that one or two small Bills may also appear this week.
