Fry in boiling fat or oil until a golden brown. Drain well and fill with the following: Soak sheep’s kidneys in warm salted water for half an hour, then remove skin and hard centre.' Cut into 3 or 4 pieces and place in just enough water or stock to cover. Add 1 grated.onion and a little pepper. Stew until tender, then thicken with a little flour diluted with cold water. Simmer for a few minutes, then add salt to taste, 1 teaspoon chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Fill cases and top with a little buttered egg. Place a roll of grilled bacon on top and serve piping hot. seemed to work nicely into the hands of Wellington. The local team scored two further goals through Misses J. Carson, centre forward, and S. Jackson, inside right, the game ending in 'Wellington 4, Wairarapa 1. Umpires, Messrs H. Tahiwi, Wellington, and G. W. Morice, Wairarapa. The senior B annual contest between Wellington and Wairarapa for the Brugh-Speirs Cup resulted in a win for Wellington by 2 goals to 1. Scorers were: For Wellington, Misses B. Scott and S. Pederson; for Wairarapa, Mrs Crawley. Wairarapa turned the tables on Wellington in the junior representative game, winning by 1 goal to nil, scored by Miss D. Harding. ___
