Mrs H. Bell, of “Potaerau,” To Orc Ore, is visiting Levin. Mr and Mrs N. H. James, Pownall Street. Masterton, are visiting Rotorua, and will later visit Auckland. Mrs H. M. A. Major, Pownall Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Miss K. Cameron, Cole Street, Masterton, is visiting Rangitikei. Mrs Hindley, Cambridge Terrace, Masterton, is visiting Wellington and is the guest of Mrs Berry. Mrs W. L. Hunter'; Coradine Street, Masterton, is staying with Mrs Haggitt, Mataikona. Miss Mary Kent has returned to Pongaroa from a visit to the South Island. Mrs H. Tinworth. of Pongaroa, has returned home from a visit to Auckland and Whangarei. Miss Mary Pither, Lansdowne, is a Masterton visitor to Timaru, where she is the guest of Mrs Heasley. Miss Patricia Thomas, Masterton, who will leave New Zealand with the party of young ladies to undertake war work in Egypt, was entertained by many local residents prior to her departure for Wellington yesterday. The few hours Miss Thomas spent in Masterton were fully taken up with the rounds of visits she paid to her many friends. As an indication of the high esteem in which she was held by a wide circle of friends she was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts.
