Referring to the report from Wellington on the censorship of internal correspondence in New Zealand as explained by the Controller of. Censorship, Mr G. McNamara, it is stated here that though full power is given by the National Security Regulations to examine all mails it is not the practice in Australia to censor inland mails. The Controller of Censorship stated that the position would be different if Australia became a theatre of war.
