DRASTIC DROP
ON TOKIO STOCK MARKET CAUSED BY INVASION OF IRAN. ANOTHER CUT IN OIL 1 IMPORTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.55 p.m.) TOKIO. August 27. An Associated Press of America correspondent says the stock market dropped drastically today, because of the Anglo-Russian invasion of Iran, from which country Japan has been importing oil. Elaborate A.R.P. practices began in down town Tokio today. All the Embassies and legations will be drastically rationed in oil and gasoline from September 1.
