Miss M. Whyborn, Wellington, is visiting Masterton. Miss M. Allan, Essex Street, Masterton, is visiting Dunedin. Miss Joyce Budd, Wellington, is spending the weekend in Masterton. Mrs N. H. Prior, Ferry Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to the South Island.
Miss A. S. Green, of Wanganui, has been appointed assistant teacher at the Nireaha School.
Miss M. L. Merlet, of the Wellington Education Board’s relieving staff, has been appointed assistant teacher at the Pirinoa School.
A teacher from Canterbury, Miss M. K. Bowie, has been appointed assistant teacher at the Carterton District High School. Miss S. Carle, Wellington, and formerly of Masterton, is the guest of her mother, Mrs R. Latham, Miriam Street, Masterton.
Mr and Mrs Ray Owen, Tawa Flat, Wellington, are visiting Masterton and are the guests of Mrs E. R. Jenkins, College Street. Miss E. M. L. Overton, of Nelson, has been appointed to the position of secondary teacher at the Carterton District High School. • Mr and Mrs H. M. Sharpies, Island Bay, Wellington, are spending the weekend in Masterton and are slaying with Mrs E. R. Jenkins, College Street.
